眼中钉

眼 = 目 + 艮 : Inside of the anthill, Maud Younger played a prank on the Eye of Providence. She told it that she would apply a mask to alleviate the wrinkles around its eyes, but instead she just covered its whole eye with chewing gum.

中 = 丨 + 口 : Mnemonic symbol: a dart board, because you always try to hit the center.

Julian Giant Squid (zhu-) is throwing dinosaur bones (丨) as darts on a dart board in front of the engine ((e)ng1). To make it a bit more difficult he's throwing mandarins (口) into the air as well and skewers them up right in the center (中 is a mandarin skewered on a dinosaur bone) in mid flight with the dinosaur bones. He's still able to consistently hit the center (中) of the dart board.

钉 = 丁 + 钅 : Dorothy Gale (di) is eating a quarter of a pizza (丁) in front of the engine ((e)ng1) with a golden harpoon (钅) when she suddenly finds a nail (钉) on the pizza.

钉 = 丁 + 钅 : Dorothy Gale (di) uses the nail (钉) she found earlier to nail (钉) her pizza (丁) to the wall of the engine's bathroom ((e)ng4) to serve as warning for other visitors. As a hammer she uses a golden harpoon (钅).
