黄 = 井 + 由 + 八 : Mnemonic symbol: the Yellow Emperor.

Helga Horse (hu) invited the Yellow Emperor (黄) to have a few cuba libres (由) in the anglepod's kitchen (ang2). But it's a trap! After the yellow emperor is drunk enough, Helga Horse spills eightballs (八) on the floor for the yellow emperor to trip on and fall into a well (井).

油 = 氵 + 由 : Maud Younger (y) is creating art in the outhouse's kitchen (ou2). She is painting a picture using oil (油) paint and occasionally using water color stored in a water bottle (氵). She is nipping a cuba libre (由) and from time to time even using her drink as color for her picture.
