中 = 丨 + 口 : Mnemonic symbol: a dart board, because you always try to hit the center.

Julian Giant Squid (zhu-) is throwing dinosaur bones (丨) as darts on a dart board in front of the engine ((e)ng1). To make it a bit more difficult he's throwing mandarins (口) into the air as well and skewers them up right in the center (中 is a mandarin skewered on a dinosaur bone) in mid flight with the dinosaur bones. He's still able to consistently hit the center (中) of the dart board.

关 = 丷 + 天 : A mean crocodile (丷) is chasing Gitta Giraffe (gu) in front of the anthill (an1). It almost caught up, when an angel (天) appears and pushes its off button (mnemonic symbol for 关) to save Gitta Giraffe.

村 = 寸 + 木 : Did you know it was Kitty Cat (cu) who originally set up "the village" (村)? She built the village by planting a forest of Christmas trees (木) around the encampment ((e)n1) and the first generation of villagers were very gratefully giving her thumbs up (寸) all the time.

村 = 寸 + 木 : Kitty Cat is for a sightseeing tour in Beijing and sees a Christmas tree in front of the encampment. This makes her think "thumps up" as it reminds her of her village, where these trees are grown.
