悄无声息

悄 = 忄 + 肖 : The Queen of Hearts (qi) wants it to be quiet (悄) in the aorta (ao3), so she threatens the Little Prince (肖) with a flail (忄) to make him be quiet. It also makes him very sad (悄).

无 = 一 + 𠂇 + 乚 : Mnemonic symbol: the philosopher Diogenes, who has nothing and wants nothing.

无 = 一 + 𠂇 + 乚 : Just inside the space station's entrance, Diogenes is annoyed by Willy Walrus, who's playing his flute. Diogenes just wants a peaceful time without being disturbed, so he cuts the flute into pieces with a pair of scissors, and threatens to beat Willy Walrus with a shovel should he annoy Diogenes again.

Mnemonic symbol: 無爲, wu2 wei2, the state of non-doing after having attained complete harmony with the Tao.

Willy Walrus (w) has attained Wu Wei (無) just inside the space station's entrance (Ø2), while from the outside it may seem like he is napping.

声 = 士 + 尸 + 丨 : Sherlock Holmes (sh) hears the terrifying sound (声) of bone (丨) on stone in front of the engine ((e)ng1), and he's sure that there must be a ghost (尸). Indeed it's only the bachelor (士) who wants to scare Sherlock.

息 = 心 + 自 : Mnemonic symbol: to breathe fire.

息 = 心 + 自 : Marie Curie practices breathing fire in front of the space station while watching herself in a hand mirror. Because she is so exited her heart is pounding very hard.
